So your student is interested in the Great Commission Bible Institute...

We want to help you get all the information you need to guide them towards making the right decision about their education and their walk with God.

What is it?

The Great Commission Bible Institute is a 10 month intensive Biblical studies program. We study the Bible cover to cover each year, giving the students the foundation to be able to read and understand God’s Word for themselves. Each student leaves GCBI with their own personal study Bible that they have created from countless hours of study and class time. The study of the Word is paramount to what we do at GCBI, but we also add to that practical ministry experience, community living, and mentoring in order to give each student a well rounded understanding of what it means to be a follower of Christ.

Who is the teacher?

Dr. Randall Smith is our guide through the scriptures throughout the year, as well as our guide on the optional trip to the Holy Land at the end of the school year. He is an incredibly gifted teacher who, because of living in Israel for over a decade, helps his students to grasp the context, the culture, and the history of the story God is telling through His Word. You can see for yourself what his teaching is like by checking out our One Hour. One Book. series.

Where is it located?

GCBI is located off of Lake Denton Road in Avon Park, Florida which is about an hour and a half south of Orlando. The students will be living at a camp with a group of fellow classmates, usually 15-20 other young people between the ages of 18 and 30. The students will be plugged into local churches, including but not limited to Grace Church of Sebring, Grace Bible church, and Bible Fellowship Church.

How much does it cost?

We are passionate about making a solid Biblical education available at the most affordable rates we can possibly offer. GCBI is tuition free, and our students only pay Room and Board fees for the year which comes out to $8,050 if paid upfront or $8,550 if paid in monthly installments.

As of 2016, we will be offering a $500 discount to students who have have gone on an Operation Barnabas experience!

Can my student earn college credit at GCBI?

Yes! We are excited to partner with Grace College, who grants 24 credits to students who enroll in an undergraduate Bible degree program after completing a year at GCBI. Click here to read the full details on what this means for your student.

The Great Commission Bible Institute is committed to helping young people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ who will impact our world with His gospel.

We don’t just want to make disciples; we want to make disciple makers.
