- About UsThe Great Commission Bible Institute was started in 2005 by a team of pastors, Bible teachers, and missionaries for the purpose of training young people in God’s Word, that they may be “thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:17). Believing that the most important aspect of learning God’s Word is living it, we’ve designed a “life learning laboratory” that combines exceptional classroom teaching with hands-on ministry experience. Whether it’s in the church, the dorm, the workplace, or on the street, students will be prepared to take the principles they learn from Scripture and walk them out in everyday life. Students will also be mentored throughout the year by spiritual coaches who are committed to seeing them become disciples who will make disciples. During the nine month course of GCBI, students will… study the Bible cover to cover create a personal Study Bible through academics work with a variety of dynamic local ministries become a vital part of the local church live in real community with other believers tour the Holy Land and walk where Jesus walked The Great Commission Bible Institute is committed to helping young people become passionate followers of Jesus Christ, young people who will impact…

- FAQsWhen does the school year begin and end? For the 2010-2011 school year, GCBI will begin Orientation on Tuesday, August 31st. The Student Bible Experience (read further down!) will be held September 6-16. Fall semester classes will begin on September 21st, 2010 and end on December 17th, 2010. Spring semester classes will begin on January 18th and end on May 12th. The Israel Experience will be held May 19th – 31st. The students’ graduation ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 5th. What is the Student Bible Experience? As part of our orientation process, the students and on-site ministry directors read through the Bible in 10 days. I know, I know! “What? We read through the Bible chronologically, following a strict daily reading schedule. Students and ministry directors read aloud, taking turns and sharing the “burden”. The reading schedule provides for many stretch breaks, meal times, and intentional…
