Who We Are

One year. One book. One goal. MAKE DISCIPLES!

Dr. Randall Smith, Ph.D.

Professor/ Rabbi

Randall D. Smith, Ph.D is pastor at Grace Church of Sebring, as well as director of  Christian Travel Study Programs, Ltd., the organization through which our students travel to Israel each spring. Randy and his wife, Dottie (who keeps him organized – or so we hear!) have three talented and creative children between the ages of 15 and 23.  From what we gather, Randy thoroughly (and legitimately!) enjoys learning – in his “spare time”, he studies art, literature, and various histories.

Randy is an incredibly gifted teacher of God’s Word and GCBI students benefit from his extensive education and insight. Randy will teach students to study through the Bible in chronological order, using the Principle Approach to Scripture.  This approach is designed to equip believers to develop a Biblical worldview, through learning to read and discern the timeless truths and principles in God’s Word.

Aaron Michaud

Director

Aaron Michaud is also a pastor at Grace Church of Sebring, as well as one of our instructors at GCBI. Aaron plays an active role in the lives of our students through curriculum development and discipleship, and he also is dedicated to bettering GCBI’s online presence and networking capabilities — a bit of a Renaissance man, you might say!

Aaron and his wife Sara have been married since 2008 and are an active part of the local church. Says Aaron, “My passion is the Bible, God’s very Word. I love to see how the truths of God play out in the world today. I hope that I can help you make some connections for yourself.”

Sara is a gifted musician & vocalist and enjoys teaching. She likes to make Aaron take classes at the gym, they love watching “Numb3rs” together, they consider themselves theme park junkies, and they have “adventuresome palates” (read: enjoy trying new foods!).

David & Kirsten Nickisch

Site Coordinators

David and Kirsten Nickisch are the on-site coordinators for the program. Both David and Kirsten are graduates of GCBI.  David is a former math teacher from Montanta and Kirsten is a singer/ songwriter from Maui, Hawaii.  They are coming off their first year of marriage spent on the road in an RV sharing Kirsten’s music with churches around the United States.

David and Kirsten live on campus with the full-time students. Logistically, they spend time creating meal plans & cleaning schedules, plugging students in to local churches, coordinating fundraisers, and organizing opportunities to expose students to various ministry experiences.  Relationally, David and Kirsten have the specific privilege and responsibility of building intentional, discipleship relationships with the GCBI students throughout the year.
